Dear Friends,

It is with great excitement that we invite you and your dancers to participate in the CanDance Convention and Performing Arts Competition. This season we will produce Twenty Two events across the U.S. and Canada, concluding with our national championships in Walt Disney World Orlando, Florida at the Dolphin Hotel, July 7th - 11th, 2010.

Not only are we dedicated to “doing competition the right way,” we are also focused on making CanDance Convention and Performing Arts Competition your favorite event. Our focus is on professional organization, quality sound systems, experienced adjudicators, fabulous classes, professional faculty and creating an event that will inspire the thousands of dancers and teachers we see each year.

This season we are thrilled to welcome Rhee Gold to our staff both as a consultant and a celebrity host for our U.S. events. Gold is one of the most respected personalities in the field of dance; we welcome his wealth of experience, passion and dedication to dance teaching field.

Hi Debbie,

I didn't have a chance to talk to you after the dance off, so I am sending you this email instead.

I just wanted to thank you for such a wonderful week. My students always enjoy dancing on the Candance stage, but this year was special. There was impeccable talent throughout the five days, and just when you thought you had seen the best, another routine came out onto the stage and topped it! I feel like my students have really grown from the experience. In most cases I had never seen them perform as well as they did this week. Your competition has given them a great opportunity for growth, and I thank you for that.

Also, I think that you couldn't have asked for a more supportive and enthusiastic team of teachers. All of the teachers were very friendly and encouraging of one another. We all showed appreciation and respect for our each other's work, making it a comfortable and positive environment.

The dance off was a true success! My students that participated were overjoyed with the opportunity the perform for a second time, and the few that didn't qualify made sure they had a seat in the audience to cheer on their team mates. The energy level was through the roof, and I couldn't have dreamed of a better way to end 5 days of dance competition.

Thank you for the time and care you and your crew put into making Candance one of the best competitions in North America.

just wanted to take a minute to thank you for the most amazing
weekend, staff, venue, organization and the best atmosphere going.

The students had many wonderful wins and of course those disappointing
losses but the greater lesson is always what we strive to teach. We
are all coming home with the most wonderful memories and a sense of
what competitions are meant to teach.

Thank your judges for me - they were true professionals - not that I
expected anything less - - but it was long and they never made us
feel like they were just tired of it all. So thank you.

Hope you get some rest and we will not soon forget the inspiration we
have come away with and the talent your name has drawn to this event.

All cities will start on Thursday afternoon and run to Sunday evening. Entries will be limited.

No charge to Diamond Dance Off. Separating the Dance off Juniors first then awarded followed by Seniors then awarded.

More award presentations per session so dancers are not waiting for awards.
